According to the 247Sports Composite, Carr is ranked as the No. 962 overall recruit and No. 49 quarterback in the country. He holds eight reported offers, with Rutgers and Iowa State joining Michigan as the other Power Four programs to offer.

Three-star quarterback Tommy Carr has committed to Michigan football for the 2026 class. Carr is the grandson of former Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr and the younger brother of Notre Dame quarterback C.J. Carr. He had previously been committed to Miami (Ohio) before flipping to the Wolverines.
