Nearly 30 years after it withstood the blast of a 4,000-pound bomb, the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum's Survivor Tree continues to spread its message of hope, strength, and renewal.

NEW YORK (AP) – The National September 11 Memorial & Museum is launching a seedling program based on the Survivor Tree, a pear tree pulled from the World Trade Center rubble after 9/11.

Runners, families, and visitors gathered beneath the Survivor Tree for a meaningful and peaceful start to Marathon Sunday with the annual sunrise service on Sunday.

OU-Tulsa planted a seedling from the survivor tree in remembrance of the 30th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing.
