MTV Networks is getting into the legit biz: Old-school rock channel VH1 Classic has partnered on the upcoming '80s-rock tuner "Rock of Ages," aiming to open Off Broadway in the fall.

VH1 has acquired theatrical distribution rights to the documentary "Anvil! The Story of Anvil," a real-life heavy metal tale that has drawn comparisons to the mock-doc classic "This Is Spinal Tap.
