Virginia Task Force 1 (VA TF-1), the commonwealth's specialized search and rescue team, is back home from working victim recovery operations following deadly floods in Texas.

Indiana Task Force 1 is back home. They sent 83 members to Texas to help after devastating floods in the state earlier this month. The task force searched for people around Kerrville in the Texas Hill Country. They returned Monday in multiple vehicles loaded with team members and equipment.

The Fairfax County Urban Search and Rescue Team welcomed home four team members and three of their K9s who were deployed to Texas following catastrophic flooding that claimed the lives of more than 100 people. The team returned to Virginia after spending 17 days aiding in the recovery efforts following the floods.
