While Star Tours’ flight simulator may have been cutting-edge when it opened to long lines 37 years ago, it doesn’t have the same impact today as technology has advanced.

The Star Tours motion simulator in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland will close on Monday, June 30 for an extended refurbishment that will run through early August or longer.

Disneyland will close eight attractions for seasonal refurbishments as the Anaheim theme park resort heads into the hectic Halloween season that has become one of the busiest times of the year.
