Authorities lifted a lockdown order late Sunday at the scene of a sniper ambush in Idaho that left two firefighters dead and another wounded after they found the body of a man with a firearm nearby.The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office said a tactical response team found the deceased man.

Two firefighters were killed Sunday and another was wounded when they were ambushed by sniper fire while responding to a blaze in a northern Idaho mountain community, as crews endured a barrage of gunfire over several hours that the governor called a “heinous” assault.

Two firefighters were killed and residents were ordered to shelter in place, but the order was lifted after police found a dead man in the woods.
