The black and blue evening dress, worn by Princess Diana on at least two public occasions, was auctioned off for $1,143,000, a record sum for one of Diana's gowns.

The ballerina-length evening dress, which was estimated to sell for between $100,000 and $200,000, was worn by Diana at a dinner in Florence, Italy.
