A Princess Cruises ship with elevated COVID-19 cases on board skipped a planned stop in Australia this week, the cruise line said.

The Ruby Princess departed Galveston Sunday afternoon on an 11-day sail to Mexico and the Caribbean, marking Princess Cruises’ first voyage from Texas in six years.

Carnival Corporation, a major cruise line operator, is requiring masks for vessels operating in and around Australia.
