CONCORD, N.C. - The turning of the calendar from 2024 to 2025 means the start of the NASCAR season is rapidly approaching. In fact, in less than a month, Cup Series cars will hit the track for the first time in The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 2.

Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson announces he will pilot the No. 84 Toyota for two premier races this season.

Jimmie Johnson confirmed Thursday that he will enter into the Daytona 500 as a third car with Legacy Motor Club and will run a part-time 2025 NASCAR Cup Series schedule.

Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson will enter two crown jewels this season inside the No. 84 Toyota Camry XSE he co-owns with Maury Gallagher. Johnson will attempt to make the field in the Daytona 500 next month and also has the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.
