In a seven-lead-change thriller, Aaron Rodgers' four TDs and Chris Boswell's 60-yard field goal lifted the Steelers past Justin Fields and the Jets.

The New York Jets lost their season-opening contest for the 2025 NFL season in a 34-32 final against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Jets surprised in both positive and negative ways in the outing. The offense looked like a functional unit, meanwhile, the defense struggled.

This may have been the busiest offseason in Steelers history. Along with Rodgers Pittsburgh's key offseason acquisitions included wideout DK Metcalf, rookie RB Kaleb Johnson, rookie DTs Derrick Harmon and Yahya Black, fellow rookie LB Jack Sawyer, and veteran Pro Bowl defensive backs Jalen and Darius Slay.
