The Philadelphia Eagles kicked off the 2025 season against the rival Dallas Cowboys Thursday night, and we saw an ejection before the first play from scrimmage. Eagles star defensive tackle Jalen Carter was booted from the game after the opening kickoff for appearing to spit on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott .

Before the first scrimmage play of the night, as Eagles fullback Ben VanSumeren stayed on the ground, Carter approached Prescott. After a brief exchange, the third-year DT spat on Prescott. An official was close to the action and saw the situation, threw a flag, ejected Carter and hit the Eagles with a 15-yard penalty.

Jalen Carter’s actions against Dak Prescott earned him an early exit before he even had the chance to make an impact. He now enters the record books among the fastest ejections in NFL history.
