The BMW N55 engine is already regarded as one of the best in the business, even though it was released just 2 years ago and replaced another legendary unit, the N54 one that powered the 1M Coupe.

BMW’s new variation on the engine, labeled the N55, is based on the same basic engine block and valve system but only sports a single turbocharger.
