The Miracle on Ice refers to the U.S. men’s ice hockey team’s gold medal victory over the heavily favored Soviet team in the 1980 Winter Olympics.

The game was dubbed “Miracle on Ice.” The victorious U.S. men’s ice hockey team went on to win the gold medal by defeating Finland 4-2 in the gold medal game.

Now, 35 years since that “Miracle On Ice” in Lake Placid, N.Y., members of the team came back for a reunion Saturday at Herb Brooks Arena, the rink they made famous.
