Coffin and Renaud performed all the minion voices themselves with the exception of Jerry — he was voiced by Jemaine Clement of the musical comedy duo Flight of the Conchords.

The Minions’ voices, which largely speak nonsense words peppered with the occasional recognizable term like “potato,” translate well across international borders as well.
