Logan Thompson stopped all 19 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season to help the Washington Capitals beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-0.

Ethen Frank added his second NHL goal as Washington won consecutive games for the first time since before the Christmas break.

Logan Thompson made 18 saves for the Washington Capitals in a 3-0 win against the visiting Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night.

Brandon Duhaime had a goal and an assist for the Capitals (29-10-5), who are 5-0-3 in their past eight games, and 8-0-3 in their past 11 home games. Thompson improved to 19-2-3 and recorded his first shutout as a Capital.
