The delivery of houses to an empty lot in Half Moon Bay on Tuesday marked a milestone for the city, as it tries to help farmworkers who survived the deadly 2023 mass shooting.

After years of legislative and physical labor, Half Moon Bay has installed three of 47 new residences to address deplorable farmworker housing conditions exposed following the 2023 mass shootings.

Three of the planned 47 manufactured homes for a new farmworker affordable housing community on the San Mateo County coast arrived Tuesday at Stone Pine Cove, county officials said.
