A little over six years ago now, Joe and Renae Ingles shared publicly that their son Jacob had been diagnosed with autism. Joe Ingles was playing for the Utah Jazz then, and in the years since, the couple has publicly advocated in word and deed for people with autism.

For the first time ever, Minnesota Timberwolves star Joe Ingles got to play an NBA game in front of his son, Jacob. On March 21, the Timberwolves allowed Joe Ingles to start in the game, which is something he hasn't done since January 2022, according to ESPN.

Jacob, who has autism, hit a milestone during Sunday night's game against the Utah Jazz, making it through an entire NBA game for the first time. The only issue was that Ingles, who's largely been out of the rotation this season, didn't see action.
