More than 75% of people booked into ICE custody in fiscal year 2025 had no criminal conviction other than an immigration or traffic-related offense, according to ICE records from October through the end of May. And less than 10% were convicted of serious crimes like murder, assault, robbery or rape.

"These seem to be targeted operations, pulling over specific vehicles," reads a social media post from the Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance.
The top countries of citizenship among those arrested were overwhelmingly from Latin America, with Mexico leading by a wide margin at 11,586 arrests.
ICE riots in Los Angeles, which were prompted by the arrests of 45 illegal aliens with convictions for violent crimes, including murder and sexual assault.
Members of the response network said they try to identify those who have been detained to get them and their families resources.
