Hennessey turns the already wild Dodge Demon 1700 into a twin-turbo 1,700-hp beast that might be the world’s fastest car down the drag strip.
The Hennessey-possessed Demon 170 will get the custom-built engine with a pair of precision 7576 turbos instead of the supercharged HEMI installed by Dodge’s Special Racing Technology gang.
Hennessey says that when a Challenger Demon 170 is fitted with its new 1,700 hp V8, the car should be able to rocket down the quarter-mile in just 7.9 seconds at upwards of 180 mph (289 km/h).
Hennessey has now strapped a couple of turbos to the Demon’s engine to create a 1,700 hp monster motor. Want to see more exclusive racing content like this? Follow American Cars and Racing on MSN.
