South Korea welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday with a replica gold crown and awarded him with the "Grand Order of Mugunghwa", the country's highest decoration, the presidential office said.

Seoul will invest $200 billion, or as much as $20 billion a year, and set aside another $150 billion to invest in its American shipbuilding operations, a South Korean official said.

Trump said the country would build its nuclear-powered submarine in the Philly Shipyard, which was bought last year by South Korea’s Hanwha Group.

U.S. semiconductor leader Nvidia on Friday said it will supply more than 260,000 of its most advanced AI chips to South Korea's government and some of the country's biggest businesses, including Samsung Electronics .

Nvidia Corp. plans to deploy up to 260,000 graphics processing units (GPUs) in South Korea in partnership with the government and major companies here to build large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) factories in the country,

Silicon Valley chipmaker Nvidia plans to supply its graphics processing units for projects with the South Korean businesses and government to advance the country's artificial intelligence infrastructure and technologies.
