Amid a dangerous arctic blast over much of the U.S. this week, snow and ice may bring major travel disruptions and power outages in the South, forecasters warned.

Another massive winter storm is forecast to pummel the southern and eastern U.S., with impacts from Texas to the Carolinas.

South Mississippi remains under a winter storm warning from late Monday night through Tuesday evening, with 1 to 3 inches of snow possible on the ground Tuesday along the Coast.
