Fans of GTA 5 and GTA 4 may be upset to learn that a promising mod that brought iconic Liberty City to GTA 5 has been shut down.

A gigantic Liberty City mod for GTA 5 has reportedly been taken down after discussions between the modification's team and Rockstar.

A popular fan mod for GTA 5 was an instant hit when it was released, but Rockstar Games persuaded the team to kill it.

They then found out the same paid Liberty City mods on Grand Theft Auto Online that were breaking Rockstar’s own rules, but are mysteriously still online.

The Liberty City Project, a mod recreating GTA 4 inside GTA 5, has been shut down by Rockstar Games.

But with GTA 6 still over a year away from launch, I figured this was the perfect opportunity to reacquaint myself with Liberty City.
