A gigantic Liberty City mod for GTA 5 has reportedly been taken down after discussions between the modification's team and Rockstar.

Fans of GTA 5 and GTA 4 may be upset to learn that a promising mod that brought iconic Liberty City to GTA 5 has been shut down.

Earlier this fall, GTA+ members were given free access to the aforementioned GTA trilogy and now, you can claim Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Chinatown Wars on iOS and Android.

Grand Theft Auto Online is currently giving away free Liberty City Penitentiary Coveralls modeled after Claude's prison outfit from GTA 3.

But with GTA 6 still over a year away from launch, I figured this was the perfect opportunity to reacquaint myself with Liberty City.

The Liberty City Preservation, a popular GTA 4 mod for GTA 5, has officially been taken down after intervention from GTA developer Rockstar Games.
