A local icon could get recognition across the entire country. Wool E. Bull, mascot for the AAA minor league baseball team the Durham Bulls, is nominated for the Mascot Hall of Fame.

The canine mascot for the Durham Bulls created his own piece of artwork on Saturday to raise money to help homeless animals in the Triangle.
