Hall of Fame Dallas superstar Dirk Nowitzki had some thoughts on his old team's decision to ditch the man who traded Luka Doncic.

On a recent ESPN segment, Shams Charania revealed how the Luka Doncic trade was conducted and communicated to ownership by Nico Harrison. Charania detailed the alignment within the Mavericks' organization after the 2024 Finals, which backfired spectacularly.

As most know, Gafford helped the Mavericks reach the 2024 NBA Finals. He was one of the post-trade deadline acquisitions that season that complemented Doncic and Irving. He's still in Dallas, but could be moved sooner rather than later if they fall down the standings.
