The engines were delivered to longtime Cummins partner SEACOR Marine Holdings Inc. for installation into a 57-meter catamaran crewboat designed by Incat Crowther.

Cummins is renowned for its powerful diesel truck engines, but the company also makes engines for everything from motorboats to massive ferries and tugboats.

Calvin Klotz, Louisiana-based VP of Marine for Cummins Mid-South, reports, “As of April, 2011, we had 20 sets of two engines on order. They are all Tier 2 compliant mechanical K38-M engines.
