The UFC has signed former WWE professional wrestler CM Punk to fight in the Octagon.

An official date for CM Punk's UFC debut is still not set, but the former WWE star says he's hopeful it could happen before the end of the year.

After getting submitted by Mickey Gall in his MMA debut back at UFC 203 in 2016, Punk decided to give it one more go and scheduled a fight with part-time fighter Mike Jackson at UFC 225 back in 2018.
