San Diego County’s first and long-awaited Amazon Fresh store is opening on Nov. 7 in Poway, Amazon announced Thursday. Here are seven things to know about the new grocery store: The 44,500-square-foot store, at 14837 Pomerado Road in the Twin Peaks Plaza shopping center, will open to shoppers on Nov. 7. It will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Willow Grove location at 102 Park Ave. will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The opening, nearly five years in the making, marks the fifth Amazon Fresh location in the Philadelphia area and first in Montgomery County. Existing stores are in Warrington, Broomall, Bensalem and Langhorne.

The store in the Sunrise Village shopping center will follow launched grocery stores in Roseville and Elk Grove.

The company delayed opening the Poway Amazon Fresh while stores were upgraded to deliver an “optimal” shopping experience, a spokesperson said
