Amazon's retail business won't grow its hiring budget this year. An Amazon spokesperson said the company is still hiring.

However, the drop in hiring means the incentives could drop by several million dollars. This year, Amazon did not receive an application, so it will unlikely be receiving a payout in 2027.

Amazon has retrenched in Prime Video but is still hiring as it seeks its place in the streaming wars. Salaries can go as high as $350,000.
