The Mercury won the best-of-five series with two double-digit comebacks and will return to the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2021. Phoenix awaits the winner of the Indiana Fever - Las Vegas Aces series, which culminates with Game 5 on Tuesday at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas (9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2).
The No. 6-seeded Fever would face the Mercury in the finals, who just eliminated the Lynx. Indiana has won four playoffs games so far, the most by any underdog team since the Sky in 2021 (Chicago went on to win the WNBA championship). Game 5 of Fever-Aces is Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Kevin Durant turns 37 today. He has one of the most impressive résumés in basketball history: 15 All-Star selections, 11 All-NBA (six first-team) honors, four scoring titles, an MVP, two NBA Finals MVPs, two titles, eighth most points, 12th most shots, 14th most 3-pointers and eighth most free throws in NBA history. And he’s still going!
Only one Liberty player, Marine Johannes, played in all 44 games. In addition to Jones, Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart missed crucial games, which was a big part of why this team slid backwards. When all three players were on the floor, the team had a net rating of +20.6, showcasing just how good the roster was at full strength.
Now, as the Fever prepare for their do-or-die showdown with the Aces in Sin City, ESPN’s Matchup Predictor has revealed the chances of both teams to win the game and advance to the WNBA Finals. Unfortunately for the Fever, things are not looking good for them. They have been given just a 35.9% chance to win, while the Aces are at 64.1%.
