Rescue workers patrolled by foot and by airboat in the search for those still missing from flash floods that struck this part of Texas over the July Fourth weekend, leaving more than 100 confirmed dead.

The death toll in Kerr County crept up to 87 on Tuesday as search and rescue teams recovered three more bodies in the flood-ravaged hills of central Texas, according to officials in the county worst hit by the disaster.

Teams from Missouri, Florida and Mexico are aiding in search-and-rescue efforts as the weather is expected to improve over the next couple days.
