Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian said he felt Quinn Ewers, his starting quarterback, "was a little uneasy" in the first half of Saturday night's loss to Georgia. Ewers completed 6 of his 12 pass attempts in the first half and turned the ball over twice before giving way to his backup, Arch Manning.

To start the match, Texas went with its normal starting quarterback, Quinn Ewers. But Ewers struggled mightily against an elite Kirby Smart defense, completing just 6-of-12 passes for not even 20 yards and two turnovers, one fumble and one interception.

Texas hosts Georgia as the two programs meet for the first time as SEC opponents. Quinn Ewars and the Texas offense got a few first downs but ultimately couldn't get into Georgia territory. On third-and-nine, Georgia did an effective job with its man-to-man defense, forcing Ewars to throw it away. Both offenses stalled on their opening possessions.
