The Trump administration is federalizing 200 Oregon National Guardsmen after Trump promised to fight “domestic terrorists” in Portland.

As the threat of a federal military crackdown continues to loom over Portland, an estimated 200 demonstrators converged Sunday at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in South Portland to decry the mobilization of troops.

The latest examples of creeping federal law enforcement and military presence in U.S. cities occurred as Memphis prepares for the arrival of additional federal authorities.
