The setting for the new action movie "Nobody 2" was inspired by star Bob Odenkirk's childhood trips to the Wisconsin Dells.

Bob Odenkirk reprises his role as Hutch Mansell, an off-the-books government assassin, in “Nobody 2.” The new film, now out in theaters, is a follow up to Odenkirk's 2021 film “Nobody,” which introduced the actor as a middle-class working suburban dad with a lethal past.

Nobody was a hit back in 2021, but Bob Odenkirk wasn't willing to sign on for a sequel to the action-comedy just to make a sequel.

Nobody 2 is a direct sequel to 2021's Nobody and is directed by Timo Tjahjanto. The film is written by Derek Kolstad and Aaron Rabin and it was released by Universal Pictures on August 15, 2025.
