U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) introduced a bill Tuesday with U.S. Sen. Peter Welch (D-Vermont) to raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, making him one of the few Republicans to support the cause.

Vt., introduced a bill this week seeking to raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an house and allow it to increase with inflation in subsequent years.

Pennsylvania would raise its minimum wage to $15 an hour in 20 of its counties, and to $12 in the rest under a bill the Democratic-controlled state House passed Wednesday.
