Former first lady Michelle Obama will not attend Donald Trump’s inauguration next week, her office said Tuesday, without providing an explanation for her decision.

Obama didn’t say why she’s skipping Trump’s inauguration. But there’s ample evidence that she just has no interest in hiding her feelings.

A spokesperson for the Obamas confirmed to PEOPLE that while Michelle plans to skip Trump's swearing-in on Monday, Jan. 20, former President Barack Obama will be in attendance
