Phillies acquire lefty Jesús Luzardo in trade with Marlins
After an unsuccessful pursuit to make changes to their lineup, the Phillies are doubling down on their rotation. They have acquired lefty Jesús Luzardo from the Miami Marlins, the team announced Sunday. With Luzardo, the Phillies could form one of the best — if not the best — rotations in baseball next season.
Marlins trade Jesus Luzardo to Philadelphia for prospects
The team shipped pitcher Jesus Luzardo to the Philadelphia Phillies. In exchange, the Marlins received two prospects. The Phillies sent infield Starlyn Caba and OF Emarrion Boyd. The Marlins also sent catching prospect Paul McIntosh to the Phillies.
