Gloria Estefan reveals the surprisingly relatable reason that she turned down a Super Bowl halftime show appearance in 2020 with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.

“During the halftime of the Florida A&M University vs. Alabama State University football game, an inappropriate and offensive remark was made by a Marching 100 announcer,” said the statement from Florida A&M president Marva Johnson, posted to the school’s official Instagram account on Sunday.
