Because of these mistakes, Texas wasn’t able to generate offensive momentum. The Longhorns went 0-for-6 on third-down conversions in the first half and 4-for-10 for the game. Manning threw his second interception in five games and seventh overall this season on a third down.

On Sunday, Rivals' Hayes Fawcett reported that the Bulldogs landed a commitment from class of 2028 quarterback Jayden Wade. He chose Georgia over schools such as Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, Miami and Florida, which had all extended offers.
