As of 2 p.m. Sept. 28, Tropical Storm Imelda is located about 95 miles west-northwest of the Central Bahamas and 370 miles southeast of Cape Canaveral, moving northwestward at 7 mph with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph.

Imelda became the Atlantic season's fourth hurricane Sept. 30 and continues to strengthen as it takes aim at Bermuda and moves away from Florida and the United States, according to the National Hurricane Center.
ORLANDO, Fla. – Hurricane Imelda on Wednesday morning continued to strengthen and become better organized, with satellite imagery showing a more defined eye and a symmetric structure. Winds have increased to around 90 mph, and further strengthening is expected as it accelerates east-northeast toward Bermuda.
Both Hurricanes Humberto and Imelda are nearing Bermuda as Humberto has pulled Imelda away from the U.S. east coast.
Hurricane Imelda is now closing in on Bermuda, just one day after Hurricane Humberto brushed the islands on Tuesday. And as of 11 a.m., the National Hurricane Center has issued its final advisory on Humberto, which has weakened and is no longer classified as a hurricane.
