Disney Cruise Line announced Friday that three of its future ships in its expansion to a fleet of 13 in the next seven years will be smaller than all but its original two vessels.

Having recently hosted the maiden voyage of its sixth ship, Disney Treasure, the company is intent on building up a 13-strong armada by 2031, including two new ships this year - one of them a 6,700-passenger giant with the longest rollercoaster at sea.
