Dense fog blanketed much of the Chicago area Thursday morning, with a dense fog advisory in effect and some areas with visibility at a quarter mile or less.

The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory until 10 a.m. Forecasters said visibility may be reduced to a half-mile or less during the morning commute. More rain is expected later Thursday with showers expected to pick up around 3 p.m.

On Thursday at 4:49 a.m. a dense fog advisory was issued by the NWS Fort Worth TX. The advisory is for Montague, Wise and Denton counties.

Central Florida roads are down to less than a quarter mile visibility on Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.
