Delhi Capitals have named former India cricketers Hemang Badani and Venugopal Rao as the new Head Coach (IPL) and Director of Cricket (IPL) respectively.

Delhi Capitals have revamped their backroom staff, replacing Sourav Ganguly with Venugopal Rao as Director of Cricket, while Ganguly transitions to focus on the Women's Premier League. The franchise is set to clarify Rishabh Pant's captaincy and prepare for the upcoming mega auction.

Former India cricketer Hemang Badani has been named the head coach of the Delhi Capitals ahead of the Indian Premier League 2025 season. Badani has replaced former Australia captain Ricky Ponting as the Capitals' top coach.

Hours after Delhi Capitals' owners JSW Group and GMR Group announced an operational restructuring, Sourav Ganguly was appointed as the Director of Cricket of the JSW Group.

Former India cricketer Venugopal Rao, who once replaced Ganguly in India's ODI squad in 2005, has now taken his spot as Director of Cricket of the franchise.
