Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has detailed Chelsea’s plans for the January transfer window. According to him, three players, namely- Cesare Casadei, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Ben Chilwell could be on their way out of Stamford Bridge.

Among the list of five to 10 forward players Chelsea are observing and/or sent scouts to watch their matches, Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap has emerged as a new target in recent months. However, Ipswich will be very reluctant to listen to any offers for the 21-year-old in mid-season because they need him in their battle to avoid relegation.

Marc Cucurella and Malo Gusto are the only other senior full-back options. Cucurella has played a huge amount of football given Spain’s run to win Euro 2024, while Gusto has picked up plenty of niggles over an impressive 18 months at Stamford Bridge.

Ben Chilwell is going to be allowed to leave Chelsea in January. If the Bees could afford him or sign him on a loan with an obligation to buy, he could relieve Frank of the need to play the likes of forward Keane Lewis-Potter as a left wing-back.
