Arizona firefighters join California's battle as wildfires prompt mass evacuations
PHOENIX — Fast-moving wildfires fueled by winds have forced countless Los Angeles residents to evacuate over the past few days. Firefighters from Arizona joined the hundreds of firefighters working to contain the California fires. Around 80 firefighters from Arizona were sent to the state as the fires continue to burn.
California Wildfires: FEMA Supports California with Assistance Grants
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is supporting the state of California in combating the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst Fires. In the past 24 hours, FEMA has approved three Fire Management Assistance Grants (FMAGs) to assist with firefighting efforts.
