Visiting Hearst Castle for the first time what tour do you suggest

We chose the grand room tour which was recommended for first time visitors. We found it gave a good overview of the castle and grounds and would recommend it

ASK ASK ASK!!! Make sure of the times before, and when you arrive. Don't end up like us where the gift shop/food, was all closed after we were finished touring without a heads up. I …
ASK ASK ASK!!! Make sure of the times before, and when you arrive. Don't end up like us where the gift shop/food, was all closed after we were finished touring without a heads up. I would have never imagined that while we were finishing our tour, they closed everything up.
