Questions & answers

Q:
Is there a fee to park ?
A:
We parked for free on the street. No problem.
Q:
Can you bike on the river walk?
A:
The Riverwalk is not the best place since there are pedestrians that you have to look out for. But it really depends on how busy it is. It could be a lovely ride because of the scenery.
Q:

Call 803-730-9739 or Google Augusta Riverboat Tours. I think it's a small pontoon boat that you charter for a small group. Many years ago, we had a huge paddle wheel boat, double deck, that I chartered for my daughter's private school graduation, and took the whole upper school. It was a wonderful, elegant trip. I'm sure this would be just as nice, but in a smaller boat. It leaves from the Riverfront Marina, around 5th Street and the River. Also, check out the Augusta Canal Boat Cruise. You can Google that as well.
Q:
Any nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity?
A:
Ben5170 pretty much summed it up. There is Boll Weevil right there but it looks like a bar so I didn't go in. All kinds of good restaurants back near I-20
