My grandfather, John Ralston Bingaman Sr., and a friend Wendel Green spend their Sundays swimming the canal. They would put a stake where they stopped and start up the next Sunday. My father, John Ralston Bingaman jr, was born in Panama on Dec 31, 1917. John Sr. swam against Duke Kahanamoku in Hawaii when he was the top swimmer for the 7th Fleet. Grandpa threw me in the ocean in Florida when I was 2 weeks old. I have been surfing for over 70 years, By the way I am John Ralston Bingaman III. I love in Hawaii. In 2017 I asked if Panama would let me swim the Canal on the anniversary but I got turned down.

Yes, we are located in Casco Antiguo, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, walking distance.

Yes you can, I do not know how much it costs. We recommend UBER over taxis.
