A:
It is a beautiful place to visit. But it is on the Ring Road at least 4 hours from Reykjavik by car, so it is really an overnight trip. And it is not in the Golden Circle.

We had non slip snow boots, wasn't a problem, alot of our group walked to it, just walk where you are instructed, it shud b fine, enjoy

If you will take a cab it will cost you 200-250€ it only 41 minutes to get there

With good weather it’s about 30-45 min one way. honistly you may want to stop a few times as there are some views you may want to take in. In colder months the road over the mountain can be closed or restricted. Always be mindful of the weather in Iceland.
