How to turn on FN Keylock ASUS Laptop Hi, So I have been trying to figure out how to make it so that I can have the FN key on my keyboard locked so that is I press any of the F1-F12 functions it only does the action. For example if I press f11 it would make my volume go down instead of having to hold down the FN key to do it.

When I hold Fn + Esc (which has the fn padlock), it still does not lock the function keys. I would prefer the "media" use for the F keys, but they are stuck in the other mode - F3 = search for example.

Update per Dell-Cares: If you want to access the function key alternate functions directly without having to press the fn key and another key together, this can be done by pressing the Fn key and Esc together to enable the Function lock. This would behave as though the Fn key is pressed down all the time. To reverse this setting, you can press the Fn key and Esc key together to turn it off.

Go to "Fn Lock Options", Turn off "Fn Lock" and choose one of the options i.e. "Lock Mode Enabled/Secondary".
